Perhaps, I can give you some negotiation advices.....I have some experiences as I've bought some used cars.
Based on my experiences, car salesmen know that they can't push you around when they see you as a shrewd and knowledgeable person. Never buckle on anything! Before visiting the car dealer, make sure you learn more about Honda Fit, including the current market price for a 2008 Honda Fit and how it differs from the previous generation model.
You also shouldn't let your car dealer run your credit, as your credit score can drop by ten points or so, if you decide to cancel the purchase.Try to note about negative things of the car like dirty trunks or missing ashtray. Don't immediately say OK, after you test drive the car, just leave the car dealer and the salesman that you'll think about it.
A few days later call back and say you're interested with his offer, the salesman will urge you to come his dealership to negotiate, don't do it! Don't give him a home turf advantage, just negotiate at the phone and say other dealers are giving you better offers, like lower interest, a full tank of gas bonus or others.
I agree motorhead told about this.Car Dealers is the best knowledge for buying and selling the car market trends.![]()
As motorhead has told Car Dealers has the best knowledge for buying and selling so don't say yes immediately ....
